I thought Oktoberfest will be full of entertainment, partying or fun. Godspeed, that was about it! But the little did I realize about the festival, there are so many unwritten rules. I have found out the hardest way, sadly. But here's a piece of information to help you decide what Bavarian Costumes for Men at Oktoberfest to carry.
1. Lederhosen & Dirndls
A standard female dress for wear at Oktoberfest is a skirt called a Traditional dirndl folk costume. You can find Dirndls via Amazon and on arrival in Munich. Basic dirndls must not cost higher than dollars but that you can buy dirndls for further than when you're willing for a splurge.
I suggest buying a conventional one whatever path you want, cheap or costly. Online and also in Munich there are many stores selling the ridiculous dirndls who don't cover the butt. I'm not recommending you buy any of these. Modern dirndls must be on and under your knees. I mean right now I'm sounding like a mom, but this is real.
2. Comfortable Shoes
It's a must to use comfortable shoes for Oktoberfest. You're going to have to walk from either beer tents to something like a beer tent, dancing or essentially standing the whole day. Get a pair of casual, comfortable shoes to wear to your Oktoberfest trip.
3. Regular Clothes
If you are not going to wear a dirndl or even you can Buy traditional lederhosen for men at Oktoberfest, simply wear your regular clothes. Most people are showing up to an Oktoberfest tent wearing only their usual sweatshirt or pants wear.
